TTM Technologies Acquires Former TDK Hutchinson Technology Building in Eau Claire
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The City of Eau Claire Economic Development Division announces that TTM Technologies, Inc. has acquired the former TDK Hutchinson Technology facility in Eau Claire, marking a long-term investment in the community’s manufacturing base and further strengthening the region’s role in advanced technology production.
The 750,000-square-foot facility, previously owned and operated by TDK for disk drive production, will become part of TTM Technologies’ broader operations and production footprint. The company reports that the acquisition supports its strategic efforts to expand capacity and accelerate deployment of advanced manufacturing capabilities in the United States.
“Eau Claire’s workforce and infrastructure continue to make this a compelling place to invest,” says Kendall Williams with the City of Eau Claire Economic Development Division. “TTM’s decision to acquire this facility reflects confidence in our community and reopens doors for additional economic activity and opportunity here in the manufacturing industry.”
A Continued Commitment to the Region
TTM Technologies is a global manufacturer of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and advanced technology components, serving industries such as aerospace and defense, data centers, medical technology, and telecommunications. With the addition of the Eau Claire site alongside its existing operations, the company expands its production network and reinforces the presence of advanced manufacturing in western Wisconsin.
The acquisition is expected to:
- Support local and regional job growth through ongoing operations and future investments
- Bring new capital investment into the facility over time
- Strengthen Eau Claire’s participation in national and global manufacturing supply chains
